Human polarimetric micro-doppler
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Modern radars can pick up target motions other than just the principle target Doppler; they pick out the small micro-Doppler variations as well. These can be used to visually identify both the target type as well as the target activity. We model and measure some of the micro-Doppler motions that are amenable to polarimetric measurement ...

Template based micro-Doppler signature classification
IET Seminar on High Resolution Imaging and Target Classification, 2006The micro-Doppler signature of a target is a time varying frequency modulation imparted on the radar echo signal by moving components of the target. Battlefield radar output the baseband signal as audio and soldiers listening on headphones are able to identify the target from its micro-Doppler signature.

Multistatic radar micro-Doppler
2020This chapter reviews how multistatic radar sensor networks can be utilised to sense a series of different moving targets to extract their micro-Doppler (μD) signatures and use these for classification purposes. The field of radar has advanced significantly since its inception in the early twentieth century.

Multiperspective micro-Doppler signature classification
IET International Conference on Radar Systems 2007, 2007Multiperspective automatic target recognition is considered to assist underlying classifiers by providing more views of the target. For the first time data from netted radar has been analysed for micro-Doppler signature content and a multiperspective dynamic time warping classifier developed.

Intraoperative Micro-Doppler in Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformations
Journal of Neurological Surgery Part A: Central European Neurosurgery, 2015Intraoperative micro-Doppler (IOMD), intraoperative digital substraction angiography (DSA), and microscope-integrated indocyanine green angiography are methods that guide neurosurgical resection of arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in the brain and minimize the trauma of healthy tissue.

Multistatic Micro-Doppler Signature of personnel
2008 IEEE Radar Conference, 2008For the first time the multistatic Micro-Doppler Signature (mu-DS) of personnel targets has been collected using University College Londonpsilas NetRAD radar system. The data demonstrates that using a multistatic mu-DS is a viable approach to overcoming the problem of self-occlusion, where a target obstructs its own mu-DS, in automatic target ...

Wideband radar micro-doppler applications
SPIE Proceedings, 2013Wideband radar provides a significant improvement over traditional narrowband radars for micro-Doppler analysis because the high bandwidth can be used to separate many of the signals in range, allowing a simpler decomposition of the micro-Doppler signals. Recent wideband radar work has focused on micro-Doppler, but there is a point where the narrowband

Micro-Doppler extraction from ISAR image
2016 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2016The micro-Doppler is an effective tool for target recognition. It is hard to detect micro-Doppler induced by vibration for its small value. In our system, phase-modulated stepped-frequency waveform is used. The method of matching pursuit (MP) is introduced to compensate translation.

Multistatic Micro-Doppler Signature Processing
2014In this chapter the generation and exploitation of multistatic micro-Doppler radar target signatures are examined with the ultimate aim of improving the classification of targets.

Micro-Range Micro-Doppler for Classification
2020 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf20), 2020Micro-range micro-Doppler radar approaches can separate different parts of a radar signature in range as well as in Doppler. The differences between individual human signatures and the signatures of groups of humans walking together can then be recognized. Using micro-range micro-Doppler, the signature from a group of people walking together toward the
