Magnetic and radar sensing for multimodal remote health monitoring [PDF]
With the increased life expectancy and rise in health conditions related to aging, there is a need for new technologies that can routinely monitor vulnerable people, identify their daily pattern of activities and any anomaly or critical events such as ...

A Matching Pursuit-Based Vehicle Wheel Parameter Extraction Method from Micro-Doppler Radar Signal [PDF]
Micro-Doppler effects of moving vehicles in a radar system are mainly induced by the rotation of wheels, whose features are closely related to the numbers, positions and radiuses of wheels.

Radar High Resolution Range & Micro-Doppler Analysis of Human Motions [PDF]
In radar imaging it is well known that relative motion or deformation of parts of illuminated objects induce additional features in the Doppler frequency spectra.

A novel algorithm for radar classification based on Doppler characteristics exploiting orthogonal pseudo-Zernike polynomials [PDF]
Phase modulation induced by target micro-motions introduces side-bands in the radar spectral signature returns. Time-frequency distributions facilitate the representation of such modulations in a micro-Doppler signature that is useful in the ...

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

micro-Doppler ballistic targets
This data-set contains signals from scaled replicas of ballistic targets with micro-motions acquired in a controlled indoor environment with a 24GHz CW radar. This work was supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Grant number EP/K014307/1 and by the Centre for Defence Enterprise under the contract CDE36521.
