An ISAR Imaging Algorithm Based on RCA for Micro-Doppler Effect Suppression

2019 IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS), 2019
In Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging, the micro-Doppler (m-D) effect caused by micro-motion parts of the target will not only make parameter extraction and motion compensation difficult but also cause image defocusing. It will appear as azimuth interference sidebands and decrease image quality seriously.

Detection on micro-Doppler effect based on laser coherent radar

Journal of Electronics (China), 2012
A laser coherent detection system of 1550 nm wavelength was presented, and experimental research on detecting micro-Doppler effect in a dynamic target was developed. In the study, the return signal in the time domain is decomposed into a set of components in different wavelet scales by multi-resolution wavelet analysis, and the components are ...

Effect of wind turbine micro-Doppler on SAR and GMTI signatures

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
In this paper, we present the results of a modeling study to examine the interference effect of microDopplers caused by offshore wind farms on airborne sensors operating in the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and ground moving target indicator (GMTI) modes.

Numerical simulation of micro-Doppler effect using relativity transform

2012 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2012
A numerical approach to acquire the transient responses of a target subject to arbitrary motion for analysis of micro-Doppler effects is developed. Transforms of coordinates and fields between a stationary laboratory reference and the moving target reference are formulated in terms of relativity. Two examples are provided: one is for a target in motion

Classification of UAV-to-ground vehicles based on micro-Doppler effect and bispectrum analysis

Signal, Image and Video Processing, 2019
Vehicles such as armored cars and tanks have a big threat due to their flexibility and lethality in modern wars. In order to destroy them without casualties, the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely used in local high-precision strike. For the purpose of best attack plan, it is necessary and significant to find a way that can distinguish ground ...

Identification of weak vibration targets based on laser micro-Doppler effect

Infrared, Millimeter-Wave, and Terahertz Technologies V, 2018
The precise target identification is significant for commanding decisions and enemy identification. The micro-Doppler effect (MDE) can reflect the subtle movement characteristics of the target, which provides a new way for the target detection and recognition.

Separation of target rigid body and micro-doppler effects in ISAR imaging

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2006
Micro-Doppler (m-D) effect is caused by moving parts of the radar target. It can cover rigid parts of a target and degrade the inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) image. Separation of the patterns caused by stationary parts of the target from those caused by moving (rotating or vibrating) parts is the topic of this paper.

Study of Micro-Doppler Effect on Target Spinning and Precession for Bistatic Radar

2018 International Conference on Radar, Antenna, Microwave, Electronics, and Telecommunications (ICRAMET), 2018
This paper focuses on simulating micro-Doppler signal of a target based on spinning and precession theory for a bistatic radar. The return signals from the bistatic radar are evaluated using modeled twin pole that movement defined by the spinning and precession theory.

Experimental and simulation research on micro-Doppler effect in laser coherent detection

SPIE Proceedings, 2009
Micro-Doppler effect and its mathematical model were discussed. The Micro-Doppler effect of vibration and rotation of moving point target were analyzed. The micro-Doppler frequency shift induced by vibration is simulated and proceeded by means of the time-frequency analysis.
