Bistatic human micro-Doppler signatures for classification of indoor activities [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2017
This paper presents the analysis of human micro- Doppler signatures collected by a bistatic radar system to classify different indoor activities. Tools for automatic classification of different activities will enable the implementation and deployment of systems for monitoring life patterns of people and identifying fall events or anomalies which may be

Evaluation of systemic consequences of brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome in dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) results from upper airway anatomical abnormalities and may cause systemic effects depending on severity. Methods A prospective, case‒control and observational study was conducted.

Physiological cardiotocography interpretation and neonatal morbidity: A historical pre–post cohort study in a tertiary perinatal center

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
In this historical pre–post cohort study, the implementation of physiological cardiotocography (PCI) interpretation was associated with reduced neonatal morbidity, neonatal acidosis, and neonatal unit admission. Adjusted cesarean section rates did not increase, supporting PCI as a promising approach to intrapartum fetal surveillance.

Mitral regurgitation and decompensated heart failure in a young pregnant pony mare: An aetiological challenge

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, EarlyView.
Summary A 4‐year‐old, 6‐month pregnant, Welsh pony mare presented with severe acute clinical signs including depression, anorexia, pale mucous membranes, tachycardia with a grade 4/6 holosystolic murmur and moderate expiratory dyspnoea with diffuse wheezes. There was no evidence of placentitis or fetal distress.

Deep Caries Management: EFCD‐ESE‐ORCA S3‐Level Clinical Practice Guideline

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To develop an evidence‐based S3‐level clinical practice guideline for the management of deep and extremely deep caries in vital permanent teeth. Methods An evidence‐based medical guideline based on systematically searched and appraised evidence as well as a structured consensus (S3‐level) was jointly developed by the European ...

Radar Signal Processing for Jointly Estimating Tracks and Micro-Doppler Signatures

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
The aim of the radar systems is to collect information about their surroundings. In many scenarios besides static targets there are numerous moving objects with very different characteristics, such as extent, movement behavior or micro-Doppler spread. It

An Investigation of Rotary Drone HERM Line Spectrum under Manoeuvering Conditions

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Detecting and identifying drones is of great interest due to the proliferation of highly manoeuverable drones with on-board sensors of increasing sensing capabilities. In this paper, we investigate the use of radars for tackling this problem.

Establishment of an MRI‐Based Diagnostic Approach to Identify Critical Pulpal Inflammation Zones in a Rat Caries‐Derived Pulpitis Model

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To establish a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐based diagnostic approach for identifying ‘critical pulpal inflammation’ zones in a rat model of caries‐derived pulpitis. Methodology Caries‐derived pulpitis was induced in the molars of Sprague–Dawley rats using the caries‐derived pulpitis model.

Causal Localization Network for Radar Human Localization With Micro-Doppler Signature

open access: yesIEEE Access
The Micro-Doppler (MD) signature includes unique characteristics from different-sized body parts such as arms, legs, and torso. Existing radar identification systems have attempted to classify human identification using these characteristics in MD ...
