Research on Control of Micro Grid
2011 Third International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2011The micro grid is an integrated form of distributed energy resources. The interconnection of small modular generation technologies at the medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) distribution levels may affect the power system performance. This type of the networks will use the best combination of control and modeling technologies to meet the specific ...

Towards resiliency with micro-grids
2015Energy security and sustained supply of power are critical for community welfare and economic growth. In the face of the increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather conditions which can result in power grid outage, the value of micro-grids to improve the communities’ power reliability and resiliency is becoming more important.

State Estimation of the Micro-grid
2013For the goal of actual needs of power companies, this chapter develops a state estimation procedure of the micro-grid, using branch currents as state variables, so that the measurement functions of nodes and branches can be expressed by these state variables.

Layered approach to micro-grids
2006A method for development of a micro-grid using three conceptual layers is presented. It is based on division on component models, interconnected system dynamics and control systems for economic operation, enabling parallel development of all layers. The aim is to utilize the method on a specific micro-grid composition, with a real-world implementation.
