Micro-Hardness of Irradiated Polyamide
Defect and Diffusion Forum, 2016The influence of beta radiation on the changes in the structure and selected properties (mechanical and thermal) was proved. Using high doses of beta radiation for glass fiber filled polyamide (PA) and its influence on the changes of micromechanical properties of surface layer has not been studied in detail so far.

A nuclear tester for micro-hardness measurement
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2012Abstract The dependence of alpha particle track diameter on the hardness of a diallyl maleate–allyl diglycol carbonate (DAM–ADC) nuclear track detector is investigated. When etched under optimum conditions, a relationship between track diameter and hardness is determined which is found to be linear.

The influence of various cavity bases on the micro‐hardness of composites
Australian Dental Journal, 1982Abstract— This study reports the effects of five commonly used bases on the hardness of three newer composite resins. The bases were a calcium hydroxide, a polycarboxylate, a ZOE, an EBA, and a glass ionomer cement. All bases except the calcium hydroxide caused reduction in the hardness of each composite, although for some base/composite combinations ...

Micro-Hardness and Morphology of LDPE Influenced by Beta Radiation
Key Engineering Materials, 2014This article deals with the influence of different doses of Beta radiation to the structure and mico-mechanical properties of Low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Hard surface layers of polymer materials, especially LDPE, can be formed by radiation cross-linking by β radiation with doses of 33, 66 and 99 kGy.

Modeling and Analysis of Micro Hard Disk Drives
The Fourth International Conference on Control and Automation 2003 ICCA Final Program and Book of Abstracts ICCA-03, 2003This paper is to analyze effect of the data flex cable and friction in the actuator rotary pivot bearing on performance of head positioning servo systems in micro hard disk drives (HDD). The micro HDD is one of trends in the disk drive industry, which can be used by portable devices such as digital cameras.
