Micro-climatic and crop responses to micro-sprinkler irrigation

Agricultural Water Management, 2021
Abstract The frequency and severity of droughts and heat stresses are becoming a threat to crop production and food security in arid and semi-arid regions worldwide. To ameliorate both stresses simultaneously, micro-sprinkler systems are being proposed and their performance is investigated here for gray jujube trees planted in an arid region.

Effect of the micro-sprinkler irrigation method with treated effluent on soil physical and chemical properties in sea reclamation land

Agricultural Water Management, 2019
Abstract To develop a micro-sprinkler method with treated effluent for tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) cultivation in sea reclamation land and test its effect on soil physical and chemical properties, a field experiment with five treatments of water quality was conducted in 2015–2016. The five treatments of water quality were created with a mixture

Micro-sprinkler Irrigation of Orchard

2020
Analysis of the field measurements recorded provided information about the sprinkler system and its operation. The distribution characteristic (DC) of 66% indicated the pattern was uniform and that the drop-off in application rate at the outer perimeter was fairly rapid. A little higher value and steeper drop-off would be even better, since the overlap

Deficit Irrigation Effects on Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) with Micro Sprinklers

Madras Agricultural Journal, 2010
An experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Bhavanisagar to study the effects of deficit irrigation on groundnut with micro sprinklers. To identify the impact, water_x0002_yield relationship was derived and interpreted. The yield response factor (ky ) ranges from 0.45 and 0.42 (normal irrigation) to 1.72 and 1.70 (full deficit ...

Different indices to characterize water use pattern of micro-sprinkler irrigated onion (Allium cepa L.)

Agricultural Water Management, 2008
Abstract The amount of water used by any crop largely depends on the extent to which the soil water depletion from the root zone is being recharged by appropriate depth of irrigation. To test this hypothesis a field study was carried out in November–March of 2002–2003 and 2003–2004 on a sandy loam (Aeric haplaquept) to quantify the effect of depth of

[Effects of integration of micro-sprinkler irrigation and nitrogen on growth and development of winter wheat and water and fertilizer use efficiency].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2020
Under the same irrigation amount and nitrogen application rate and after the corn stalks being returned to the field in the wheat-corn crop rotation area, we examined the effects of the integrated water and nitrogen mode of micro-sprinkler irrigation on the growth and development and water and fertilizer use efficiency of winter wheat. In 2016-2018, we
