Performance and Emission of a Biofueled Micro Turbojet Engine

51st AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting including the New Horizons Forum and Aerospace Exposition, 2013
The engine performance, fuel consumption and emission of a micro gas turbojet engine running B100 biodiesel fuel, kerosene, hydro processed renewable (HJ) fuel from dynamic fuels, and JP-8 fuel are reported in this paper. The data are recorded and analyzed in terms of the different fuels.

Thermo-dynamic cycle computation of a micro turbojet engine

2016 IEEE 17th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI), 2016
Thermodynamic models are a perfect tool to describe heat engines. But such thermodynamic model must be extended to reflect reality as accurately as possible. Micro turbo compressor engines are a specific type of heat engines that are derived from normal turbo compressor engines. To compute their thermodynamic parameters we need to know their dimensions

Second Law Analysis of an Experimental Micro Turbojet Engine

2018
Mini class gas turbine engines are today used for small UAVs, cogeneration applications, and hybrid electric vehicle applications. In this paper, exergetic assessment of an indigenous mini class gas turbine engine is investigated. This engine is classified as mini class gas turbine where it differs from similar class engines in two ways, including ...

Study on micro-turbojet engine with high thrust-to-weight ratio

Theoretical and Natural Science, 2023
Micro-turbojet engine refers to a closed cycle gas turbine engine with thrust below 500kg and power below 100kW. The performance indicators of domestic products are relatively low, and the main problems of domestic products are low thrust-to-weight ratio, poor reliability, and low heat resistance.

Thermodynamic and Mechanical Design Concept for Micro-Turbojet to Micro-Turboshaft Engine Conversion

Volume 8: Industrial and Cogeneration; Manufacturing Materials and Metallurgy; Marine; Microturbines, Turbochargers, and Small Turbomachines, 2020
Abstract In this work, a design concept for micro-turbojet to micro-turboshaft engine conversion is presented. This is motivated by a lack of available micro-turboshaft engines which is shown in the market survey conducted. Thus, the presented concept deals with the conversion of an existing micro-turbojet engine to a micro-turboshaft ...

(INVESTIGATION OF A MICRO TURBOJET ENGINE VIA REVERSEENGINEERING)

2016

Flow physics in a micro turbojet engine inter-shaft fuel supply system

Physics of Fluids
Inter-shaft fuel supply systems (ISFSSs) consisting of a shaft annulus and a fuel slinger are usually used in micro turbojet engines to pump the fuel to the combustor, aiming at reducing engine's size and weight. Differing from the configuration with stationary fuel pipework, the fast-rotating shaft in the annulus would induce significant drag ...
