The macrofoundations of micro [PDF]
This paper argues that there are two contending visions of macroeconomics: the micro vision--in which macroeconomics results are just the combination of results of atomistic individuals, and the macro vision--in which the interaction of atomistic individuals leads to such complexity that the aggregate results cannot be rationally deduced from the ...

Micro execution is the ability to execute any code fragment without a user-provided test driver or input data. The user simply identifies a function or code location in an exe or dll. A runtime Virtual Machine (VM) customized for testing purposes then starts executing the code at that location, catches all memory operations before they occur, allocates

Abstract This article introduces micro‐prosody as the study of the duration and timing of speech events. We present a descriptive framework, formalising micro‐prosody in terms of gestural landmarks and coordination relations between them, and we use the framework to illustrate different patterns of micro‐prosody across languages.

Entities of many kinds, not just material things, have been credited with parts. Armstrong (1978: 36), for example, has taken propositions and properties to be parts of their conjunctions, sets to be parts of sets that include them, and geographical regions and events to be parts of regions and events that contain them.

Micro-layered-photolithography for Micro-Fabrication and Micro-Molding
2005A novel process based on the principle of layered photolithography has been proposed and tested for making real three-dimensional micro-structures. An experimental setup was designed and built for doing experiments on this micro-fabrication process. An ultraviolet (UV) excimer laser at the wavelength of 248 nm was used as the light source and a single ...
