Development of micro pump with micro fins

2010 IEEE 5th International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems, 2010
Micro diffuser/nozzle pump are widely used in µTAS. As the diffuser/nozzles are the key parts for micro diffuser/nozzle pumps, this paper reports a novel method for improving the flow efficiency by adding micro/nano fins on its sidewall. The fins are arranged on the sidewall in the diffuser direction.

Micro-sensors with novel micro-channels in a micro-reformer

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2010
Abstract Fuel flow rate, temperature and pressure significantly influence the working efficiency of micro-reformers. Owing to their large volumes, conventional sensors can only be used to evaluate the outfield of a reformer and the inlet or outlet of a fuel gas cylinder.

Micro-forceps and Micro-scalpels

Nature, 1952
SOME convenient glass micro-forceps are shown in Fig. 1. Type I are opened by their own resilience and closed by means of a tube fitting around them. In type II the reverse action is shown, closing being effected by resilience and opening by the force of a ball and rod. The two branches of the forceps are fixed in a tube of 1.5 mm.

Process Chain for Micro-manufacturing: A Combination of Micro-AWJ and Micro-WEDM

WCMNM 2018 World Congress on Micro and Nano Manufacturing, 2018
The present study explores the design of an effective process chain that combines micro Abrasive Waterjet (micro-AWJ) and micro Wire Electro Discharge Machining (micro-WEDM) technologies. An experimental spring component is chosen as leading test case, since fine geometric features machining and low roughness on the cut walls are required.

Micro law

IEEE Micro, 1994
Neural networks may be simple or difficult to protect under intellectual property law, depending on what aspect or feature of the network you seek to protect. Subject to fairly limited qualifications, however, you can use US intellectual property law to protect almost any kind of technical advance in neural network design.

Micro-Discharge Micro-Thruster

41st AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit, 2005
This paper summarizes the experiments and analysis of the micro-discharge micro- thruster developed jointly by Ewing Technology Associates and the University of Washington. The key experimental result has been the demonstration of a sustained discharge in a very simple micro-discharge type of structure (aperture ~ 300 micron) under demanding flow ...

The macrofoundations of micro [PDF]

open access: possible, 1996
This paper argues that there are two contending visions of macroeconomics: the micro vision--in which macroeconomics results are just the combination of results of atomistic individuals, and the macro vision--in which the interaction of atomistic individuals leads to such complexity that the aggregate results cannot be rationally deduced from the ...

Micro execution

Proceedings of the 36th International Conference on Software Engineering, 2014
Micro execution is the ability to execute any code fragment without a user-provided test driver or input data. The user simply identifies a function or code location in an exe or dll. A runtime Virtual Machine (VM) customized for testing purposes then starts executing the code at that location, catches all memory operations before they occur, allocates
