Glimpses on the micro black hole Planck phase [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2008
Mass thresholds, lifetimes, entropy and heat capacity for micro black holes close to their late Schwarzschild phase are computed using two different generalized uncertainty principles, in the framework of models with extra spatial dimensions.

Spin polarization effects in micro black hole evaporation [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of High Energy Physics, 2009
We consider the evaporation of rotating micro black holes produced in highly energetic particle collisions, taking into account the polarization due to the coupling between the spin of the emitted particles and the angular momentum of the black hole. The effect of rotation shows up in the helicity dependent angular distribution significantly.

Micro Black Hole Production and Evaporation [PDF]

open access: green, 2013
It has been conjectured that Micro Black Holes (MBH) may be formed in the presence of large extra dimensions. These MBHs have very small mass and they decay almost instantaneously. Taking into consideration quantum effects, they should Hawking radiate mainly to Standard Model particles, this radiation then gets modified by the non trivial geometry ...

Fine micro-thermal structures for Reissner-Nordström black hole * [PDF]

open access: greenChinese Physics C, 2020
Abstract We solve the condundrum on whether the molecules of the Reissner-Nordström black hole interact through the Ruppeiner thermodynamic geometry, basing our study on the concept of the black hole molecule proposed in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 115 (2015) 111302] and choosing the appropriate extensive variables.

Micro Black Holes: What Do We Know From Recent Research? [PDF]

open access: diamondUC Merced Undergraduate Research Journal, 2023
This synthesis highlights the research efforts in micro black holes in recent years and points to future prospects. Synthesizing recently published articles shows that micro black holes can have a variety of properties. This paper explores articles discussing the instantaneous evaporation of micro black holes due to Hawking Radiation, the inability of ...

Holographic micro thermofield geometries of BTZ black holes

open access: greenJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We find general deformations of BTZ spacetime and identify the corresponding thermofield initial states of the dual CFT. We deform the geometry by introducing bulk fields dual to primary operators and find the back-reacted gravity solutions to the quadratic order of the deformation parameter.

Detecting Bypassing Micro Black Holes

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract Contemporarily, convincing evidence is lacking for the existence of micro black holes due to their small masses. In this paper, a specific situation is discussed in which a Schwarzschild micro black hole, with a mass of up to 1013 kg and hence the lifetime longer than the universe’s age flies towards the Earth with the typical ...

Microcanonical Description of (Micro) Black Holes [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy, 2011
The microcanonical ensemble is the proper ensemble to describe black holes which are not in thermodynamic equilibrium, such as radiating black holes. This choice of ensemble eliminates the problems, e.g., negative specific heat (not allowed in the canonical ensemble) and loss of unitarity, encountered when the canonical ensemble is used.
