Black sand as a cost-effective catalyst for methylene blue photo-remediation under visible light

open access: yesDiscover Sustainability, 2023
Methylene blue (MB) is commonly a persistent and perilous pollutant in industrial wastewater effluent. While MB has a massive negative effect on human and ecology safety.

The Kerr/CFT Correspondence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Quantum gravity in the region very near the horizon of an extreme Kerr black hole (whose angular momentum and mass are related by J=GM^2) is considered.

Quantum area spectrum of Kerr black hole and the smallest mass of micro-black hole

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2005
Kerr black hole has only two parameters of M and J. M and J, as the general coordinates, together with their conjugate variables form a four-di mensional phase space. The quantum area spectrum of Kerr black hole is obtained by performing gauge transformations, from which we can obtain the smallest mas s of Schwarzchild black hole.

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Exploring the Magnetic Field Configuration in BL Lac Using GMVA

open access: yesGalaxies, 2016
The high radio frequency polarization imaging of non-thermal emission from active galactic nuclei (AGN) is a direct way to probe the magnetic field strength and structure in the immediate vicinity of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) and is crucial in ...

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.
