Single bubble geometry evolution in micro-scale space
International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2013Abstract Two types of single vapour bubble growth in micro-scale space are experimentally investigated. Degassed pentane and FC-72 are used to study the bubble confined between superheated parallel plates without liquid flow. Liquid properties which are influential on bubble growth are discussed.

Advanced image analysis verifies geometry performance of micro-milling systems
Applied Optics, 2017Accurate dimensional measurement of micro-milled items is a challenge and machine specifications do not include operational parameters in the workshop. Therefore, a verification test that shows the machine's overall geometrical performance over its working area would help machine users in the assessment and adjustment of their equipment. In this study,

Improvement of micro endmill geometry for micro hard milling application
2008One of the applications of the micromilling technology is to machine micro features on moulds by direct machining of hardened tool steels. However at this moment, this process is not industrial applicable because of the encountered problems, such as the big tool deflection, severe tool wear, and pre-mature tool breakage.

Confocal X-ray fluorescence micro-spectroscopy experiment in tilted geometry
Spectrochimica Acta Part B: Atomic Spectroscopy, 2014Abstract This paper provides a generalized mathematical model to describe the intensity of primary X-ray fluorescence radiation collected in the tilted confocal geometry mode, where the collimating optics is rotated over an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The influence of newly introduced terms, which take into account the tilted geometry mode,

Supersonic boundary-layer interactions with various micro-vortex generator geometries
The Aeronautical Journal, 2009AbstractVarious types of micro-vortex generators (μVGs) are investigated for control of a supersonic turbulent boundary layer subject to an oblique shock impingement, which causes flow separation. The micro-vortex generators are embedded in the boundary layer to avoid excessive wave drag while still creating strong streamwise vortices to energise the ...

Micro-Geometry of 3-D Braided Tubular Preform
Journal of Composite Materials, 2004The micro-geometry of three-dimensional (3-D) braided tubular preform is more complex than that of rectangular one, and it is more difficult to analyze its architecture and mechanical properties theoretically as well. Through the advantage of digital element approach for textile technology, 3-D circular braiding process could be simulated dynamically ...

Formulas:Celestial Information ↔Quantum Geometry (BH & Micro Starbirth)
This record preserves the Harmony framework comparison of stellar birth (information → geometry) and black hole collapse (geometry → information). Within this lens, stars are not powered by unstable nuclear chains, but instead emerge from tuned information frequencies shaping geometry at the micro–quantum scale.openaire +1 more source
