The pre‐post‐treatment study of 60 patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) showed that adding 12.5 mg/day spironolactone to RAAS blockers effectively reduced albuminuria, mildly increased eGFR, and improved renal outcomes. Additionally, spironolactone significantly reduced albuminuria, regardless of concurrent use of SGLT2i.

This meta‐analysis highlights that once‐weekly basal insulin Fc provides comparable glycaemic control to daily insulin degludec but is associated with higher rates of clinically significant and severe hypoglycaemia, particularly in type 1 diabetes and insulin‐experienced patients.
