ABSTRACT Ceragenins are synthetic molecules that mimic antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) in the human immune system. They feature a bile acid‐based structure with appended positively charged groups that disrupt bacterial cell membranes, leading to microbial cell death or inactivation.
