Engineering Extracellular Vesicles for Anti‐Aging Therapy: Mechanisms, Applications, and Perspectives

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
This review systematically elucidates the multifactorial anti‐aging mechanisms of extracellular vesicles (EVs). By bridging fundamental biology with advanced bioengineering, scalable manufacturing, and clinical translation, it establishes a comprehensive framework for developing next‐generation EVs‐based precision nanotherapeutics to combat systemic ...

Recurrent Ischemic Stroke Caused by a Residual PFO Shunt After Surgical Repair: Three‐Dimensional Transesophageal Echocardiography‐Guided Localization and Transcatheter Closure

open access: yesEchocardiography, Volume 43, Issue 7, July 2026.
Residual shunting after surgical PFO closure may cause recurrent paradoxical embolism. Three‐dimensional transesophageal echocardiography combined with microbubble testing and multiplanar reconstruction enabled precise localization of an elusive residual shunt and guided successful transcatheter closure.

Renal Perfusion in Healthy Horses: A Feasibility Study With Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound

open access: yesVeterinary Radiology &Ultrasound, Volume 67, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This study assessed the feasibility of contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for evaluating renal perfusion in horses and compared perfusion parameters between age groups. In a prospective study, eight healthy horses were divided into young (3–5 years, n = 4) and old (16–17 years, n = 4) groups.

Branch retinal artery occlusion due to patent foramen ovale in a teenager

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 7, Page 3173-3178, 1 July 2026.
Abstract This report demonstrates the diagnostic evaluation and clinical management of a 16‐year‐old girl who developed branch retinal artery occlusion secondary to patent foramen ovale. The goal is to increase awareness of this rare presentation in adolescents among clinicians, with a summary of the important clinical features, multimodal imaging ...

Eight weeks of high‐intensity interval training is insufficient to prevent sitting‐induced endothelial dysfunction and microvascular impairment

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 7, Page 3242-3252, 1 July 2026.
Abstract Prolonged sitting disrupts lower‐limb endothelial and microvascular function, likely via reduced shear stress and blunted microvascular reactivity. We examined whether Tabata‐style high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) mitigates this sitting‐induced vascular dysfunction.
