Comparison of the Application Value of 4‐Dimensional Hysterosalpingo‐Contrast Sonography and X‐Ray Hysterosalpingography in Intrauterine Insemination

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 8, Page 1655-1661, August 2026.
Objectives To compare the application value of 4‐dimensional hysterosalpingo‐contrast sonography (4D‐HyCoSy) and x‐ray hysterosalpingography (HSG) in intrauterine insemination (IUI) patients. Methods In this retrospective study, a total of 725 infertile patients who underwent IUI in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2023 to June ...

Tailored Nanogel Network Topology Enables Clinical Ultrasound‐Induced Mechanochemical Activation for In Vivo Therapy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 30, 20 July 2026.
The strategy of engineering nanogel network topology is developed to achieve iterative activation of mechanophores upon high‐frequency and low‐intensity ultrasound. This places the nanogel system among the systems that can respond to the ultrasound with the highest frequency and lowest intensity as well as have the fastest activation rate so far.

Laser‐Based In Situ Diagnostics of Temperature and Material‐Growth Dynamics in Photothermal Laser Nanoprinting of ZnO

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 15, 7 August 2026.
This work elucidates the previously unknown thermal dynamics during sub‐micrometer photothermal laser printing of zinc oxide using a non‐invasive transmission‐based in situ measurement. The elevated temperatures are shown to be highly localized around the laser focal spot, reaching average temperature increases of about 113 K per mW of laser power ...

Microfluidic Production of Antibacterial Alginate (Alg‐PEI/AgNP) Microbubble‐Templated Scaffolds for Biomedical Applications: Controlled Pore Architecture and Sustained Silver Release

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 8, August 2026.
Antibacterial porous microbubble‐templated scaffolds are created using a T‐junction microfluidic system to template alginate‐polyethyleneimine microbubbles loaded with silver nanoparticles. These scaffolds have tunable pore sizes, can hold over 3600% water, and demonstrate sustained silver release for up to 168 h.

Targeting and Energy‐Depleting Biomimetic Nanoparticles for Enhancing Combined Chemo‐Sonodynamic Therapy Against Esophageal Cancer

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Esophageal cancer is the seventh leading cause of cancer death, and the energy depletion in cancer cells can be achieved through synergistic therapy. The integration of sonodynamic therapy and chemotherapy offers a promising comprehensive treatment strategy for esophageal cancer.

Contrast enhanced ultrasound and laser doppler flowmetry capture distinct aspects of tissue microvascular perfusion in nonhuman primates

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
Abstract Microvascular perfusion in skeletal muscle (SkM) and subcutaneous adipose tissue (AT) is critical for insulin‐mediated glucose uptake and is impaired in type 2 diabetes (T2D). Quantifying perfusion using contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEU) is technically challenging, prompting a need for simpler methods such as laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF ...
