Effect of Partition Wall Thickness on Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Gas-to-Gas Counterflow Microchannel Heat Exchanger [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Effect of partition wall thickness on heat transfer characteristics of a two-stream counterflow gas-to-gas microchannel heat exchanger has been numerically investigated. The flow passages of the microchannel heat exchanger are plane channels of 100 μm in

Photothermal–Magnetocaloric Coupled Evaporators for Actively Adjustable Water Evaporation and Oil–Water Purification in Complex Environments

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A photothermal–magnetocaloric coupled aerogel evaporator is developed for actively adjustable water evaporation in complex environments. Magnetocaloric heating provides active energy compensation under low‐light conditions and disrupts interfacial hydrogen‐bond networks to promote evaporation.

Pressure Drop Measurements in Microchannel Heat Exchanger [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Single-phase pressure drops inside a microchannel heat exchanger were tested systematically. Local pressure drop coefficients were determined from the experimental data and compared with published correlations.
