Composition of zooplankton assemblages along the Zagyva River [PDF]
The species composition, longitudinal distribution and seasonal dynamics of zooplankton were studied in the Zagyva River, Hungary. A total of 108 taxa was recorded from which 61 were new for the river.

Avaliando a interrupção da conectividade longitudinal em assembleias de macroinvertebrados em um rio semi-árido [PDF]
Aim: Our aim in this study was evaluate the effects of flow regulation for irrigation on the macroinvertebrate assemblages in a semiarid river. Methods:We sampled two reaches in Dulce River; one placed upstream a weir that diverts flow into a network of ...

Microcrustaceans structure determined by the type and trophic state of lakes [PDF]
: Aim In this study, we investigated the response of microcrustaceans composition, diversity and abundance (Cladocera and Copepoda) to the lake’s origin (natural and man-made) and trophic state (mesotrophic and eutrophic, with natural eutrophication and ...

Earthquakes trigger the loss of groundwater biodiversity [PDF]
Earthquakes are among the most destructive natural events. The 6 April 2009, 6.3-Mw earthquake in L\u27Aquila (Italy) markedly altered the karstic Gran Sasso Aquifer (GSA) hydrogeology and geochemistry.

Microcrustacean community structure in the different water bodies of the Lake Fertő/Neusiedler See (Fertő-Hanság National Park, Hungary): new invaders, recurring and missing taxa [PDF]
The composition and community parameters of the microcrustacean assemblages were studied at twenty one sampling sites located in different water bodies/habitats (open water, inner ponds, canal, reed belt) of the shallow turbid alkaline Lake Fertő ...
