Multilayer Self‐Limiting Electrospray Deposition via Stepped Voltage Bias
Self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) uses a high voltage to generate and deposit a charged payload on a target surface. The coating retains its charge, repelling newly arriving material. SLED thickness can be decreased by applying a secondary bias to the target.

Rechargeable Aqueous Microdroplet
Directional and controllable transportation of microdroplets is critical for emerging micro- and nanotechnology, in which the conventional mechanical energy generation is not applicable. This Letter shows that an aqueous microdroplet can be charged for controlled motion in electrostatic potential, which was created by differentiating pH, between two ...

Geometry‐driven design of soft cellular metamaterials is systematically investigated by combining experiments, finite element modeling, and statistical prediction. The study quantifies how unit cell geometry and material properties govern stiffness, instability, densification, and energy absorption.

3D Hydrodynamic Flow Lithography
ABSTRACT Continuous‐ and stop‐flow lithography are widely used to fabricate multi‐dimensional microstructures whose cross‐sectional morphology is dictated by the flow profile of multiple co‐flowing streams. Here, we introduce three‐dimensional hydrodynamic flow lithography (3D HFL), a platform for programmable generation of multi‐layered flow profiles ...

Nanodroplet-Based Reagent Delivery into Water-in-Fluorinated-Oil Droplets
In vitro compartmentalization (IVC) is a technique for generating water-in-oil microdroplets to establish the genotype (DNA information)–phenotype (biomolecule function) linkage required by many biological applications.

Levitation of Liquid Microdroplets Above A Solid Surface Subcooled to the Leidenfrost Temperature
Evaporation of liquid microdroplets that fall on a solid surface with the temperature of below the Leidenfrost temperature is studied. It has been found out that sufficiently small liquid droplets of about 10 microns can suspend at some distance from the

Microdroplet-Mediated Radical Polymerization
Micrometer-sized aqueous droplets serve as a unique reactor that drives various chemical reactions not seen in bulk solutions. However, their utilization has been limited to the synthesis of low molecular weight products at low reactant concentrations (nM to μM).
