Solid Phase Microextraction

2001
Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) uses a small volume of sorbent dispersed typically on the surface of small fibres, to isolate and concentrate analytes from sample matrix. After contact with sample, analytes are absorbed or adsorbed by the fibre phase (depending on the nature of the coating) until an equilibrium is reached in the system.

Liquid-phase microextraction

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2010
Abstract The development of faster, simpler, inexpensive and more environmentally-friendly sample-preparation techniques is an important issue in chemical analysis. Recent research trends involve miniaturization of the traditional liquid-liquid-extraction principle by greatly reducing the acceptor-to-donor ratio.

Developments of Microextraction (Extraction) Procedures for Sample Preparation of Antidepressants in Biological and Water Samples, a Review

Critical reviews in analytical chemistry, 2021
Antidepressants are an important class of drugs to treat various types of depression. The determination of antidepressants is crucial in biological samples to control adverse effects in humans and study pharmacokinetics and bioavailability.

A synergistic effect of hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents based on terpenoids and carboxylic acids for tetracycline microextraction.

In Analysis, 2021
Hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents were investigated for tetracycline microextraction. It was found that a deep eutectic solvent consisting of thymol and octanoic acid provided a synergistic effect on tetracycline extraction.

Solid-phase microextraction

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 1999
Abstract In recent years, much attention in analytical chemistry has been paid to sample preparation techniques, especially those which minimise the consumption of organic solvents. One of the most promising of these, solid-phase microextraction (SPME), is presented in both its theoretical and practical aspects.

Single-drop microextraction

TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2018
Abstract After its introduction just over twenty years ago, single-drop microextraction (SDME) became a widely applied solvent-based microextraction procedure as a practical sample preparation tool in support of chemical and biological, food, pharmaceutical, clinical and forensic analysis.

Single-Drop Microextraction in Bioanalysis

Bioanalysis, 2011
Bioanalysis usually requires a preparation procedure for sample cleanup or preconcentration. Conventional sample preparation techniques are often time consuming and labor intensive. Among recent progress in sample preparation, single drop microextraction (SDME) is one of the most efficient techniques providing both sample cleanup and preconcentration ...
