Counting of Microfibers in Lake Allatoona Sand
Microfibers are present in sand. This study examines six beach sites on Lake Allatoona in Georgia to determine the concentration of microfibers in certain locations on the lake. Each sand sample will be analyzed up to six times.

Color Alleviation in Hybrid Electrospun‐Electrosprayed Magnetic Paper
A combined electrospinning/electrospraying fabrication approach enables the chromatic alleviation of the brown Color of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, by encapsulating them within polymer‐based electrosprayed microparticles that are sandwiched between electrospun fibrous layers.

Warming modifies trophic impacts of invading shrimp with impact varying among primary producers
Environmental change drivers, such as climate change and species invasions, can disrupt biological networks and weaken ecosystem stability. Acting together, these drivers may interact and alter the effects on the ecosystem. However, few studies have examined the interactive effects of climate change and species invasions, particularly in aquatic ...

Electrospun fibrous sorbents for the removal of uranium and americium from aqueous media
Polymethacrylate‐based electrospun microfibers with tertiary amino functionalities are evaluated as adsorbents for U‐232 and Am‐241 in both simplified and complex (seawater) water matrices, highlighting their ability for efficient actinide removal. Abstract Polymethacrylate‐based electrospun microfibers containing tertiary amino functionalities were ...

ABSTRACT This article presents a review of the recent findings on the combination of electrospun nanofibers and three‐dimensional (3D)‐printed structures for extracellular matrix (ECM) scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. We explore the synergy between electrospinning (ES), which produces highly porous, fibrous structures from materials like collagen

A parasitic seed germination bioassay reveals strong soil‐dependent variation in strigolactone signaling distance, controlled by physical and biological soil properties, which shapes signaling range and parasitic weed infection risk. Abstract BACKGROUND Strigolactones are root‐exuded plant metabolites acting as germination stimulants for several ...

Intelligent Continuum Micromachines in Complex Confined Spaces
The cover depicts a conceptual design for an intelligent continuum micromachine entering a target capsule used in fusion‐energy research through its slender gas‐fill tube. By combining route‐adaptive deformation, embedded sensing, and a functional end effector, the robot could inspect hidden defects, assess local conditions, and support localized ...
