Circular Economy Pathways for Airport Climate Change Mitigation
ABSTRACT Airport operators face growing climate‐change pressures; the circular economy offers pathways to reduce impacts and recover resources. We examine how airport operators apply the circular economy in practice. We use an exploratory qualitative multicase design based on practitioner‐generated documents (e.g., press releases and sustainability ...

The proposed hybrid osprey‐salp swarm optimization algorithm addresses optimal power flow (OPF) problems in smart grids incorporating solar, hydro, and thermal generators. The algorithm is validated on Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 30‐, 57‐, and 118‐bus test systems across five single and multiobjective OPF scenarios.

In this Project we collaborated with two DOE National Laboratories, Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBL). Dr. Hammerstrom of PNNL initially supported our project and was on the graduate committee of one of the Ph.D. students (graduated in 2014) who was supported by this project. He is also a committee member of
