Fluoride treatment and microhardness of dentin
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1979Effects of various fluoride treatments on the microhardness of human dentin were determined. Treatment with acidulated phosphate-fluoride at pH 3.0 induced a significant (p less than .05) softening when compared to treatment with water. APF at pH 4.0 did not bring about a significant change.

Microhardness and microhardness anisotropy of tungsten
Transactions of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, 1968Both doped and undoped W single crystals exhibit hardness anisotropy with respect to the direction of testing in each of the crystallographic planes investigated. The hardness anisotropy of undoped, single-crystal W is rather pronounced in the {001} and {110} planes but very minor in the {111} planes.

On the Definition of Microhardness
Metallurgical Transactions A, 1983Microhardness testing can be a very useful tool for studying modern materials, but is plagued by well-known experimental difficulties. Reasons for the unusual behavior of hardness data at very low loads are explored by Monte Carlo simulation. These simulations bear remarkable resemblance to the results of actual hardness experiments.

Microhardness of alloys for porcelain veneering
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1982R e s t o r a t i v e materials for fixed prosthodontics must be capable of withstanding masticatory forces. The mechanical properties of the high-fusing gold alloys differ from those of type III and type IV dental casting alloys. '-'~ The microstructure and mechanical properties of the noble dental alloys are dependent on the composition of the alloy.'

2000
This book, first published in 2000, deals with the micromechanical characterization of polymer materials. Particular attention is given to microhardness as a technique capable of detecting a variety of morphological and textural changes in polymers. A comprehensive introduction to the microhardness of polymers is provided, including descriptions of ...

Effect of impurities on the microhardness of borax decahydrate
Microhardness of borax decahydrate single crystals grown from pure and impure borax solutions was measured. It was found that the microhardness of borax decahydrate crystals showed clear load dependence. The results obtained from Meyer Law indicated that

Microhardness of phosphate glasses
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1994Abstract Vickers microhardness values of some binary and ternary phosphate glasses were determined. An increase of Vickers hardness was obtained on addition of a second alkali oxide (Li2O or K2O) or a divalent oxide (CaO or ZnO) to a sodium phosphate glass. The microhardness values were also seen to be a function of the applied load.
