Room temperature chiral magnetic skyrmion in ultrathin magnetic nanostructures
Magnetic skyrmions are chiral spin structures with a whirling configuration. Their topological properties, nanometer size and the fact that they can be moved by small current densities have opened a new paradigm for the manipulation of magnetisation at ...

Numerical Simulations in Micromagnetism
Ao nível quântico, os materiais ferromagnéticos são caracterizados por magnetismo resultante do spin dos eletrões cuja descrição completa requer a aplicação da Mecânica Quântica. Estes materiais quando T

Elongated skyrmion as spin torque nano-oscillator and magnonic waveguide
Spin torque nano-oscillators facilitate the control of magnetization dynamics without the need for an external magnetic field and are compatible with CMOS technologies. Here, the authors propose, using micromagnetic simulations, a device comprising of an

Soliton pair dynamics in patterned ferromagnetic ellipses
Confinement alters the energy landscape of nanoscale magnets, leading to the appearance of unusual magnetic states, such as vortices, for example. Many basic questions concerning dynamical and interaction effects remain unanswered, and nanomagnets are ...

Micromagnetic simulations of cylindrical magnetic nanowires [PDF]
This chapter reviews micromagnetic simulations of cylindrical magnetic nanowires and their ordered arrays. It starts with a description of the theoretical background of micromagnetism. The chapter discusses main magnetization reversal modes, domain wall types, and state diagrams in cylindrical nanowires of different types and sizes.

Micromagnetic simulation of a ferromagnetic particle [PDF]
In this work, the magnetic behaviour of a ferromagnetic particle has been investigated by means of micromagnetic modelling, using the Finite Element Method. The simulations were performed on an ellipsoidal particle with uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy by varying the anisotropy constant, the shape and dimensions of the particle.

Nonlinear Processes in Magnetic Nanodots under Perpendicular Pumping: Micromagnetic Simulations [PDF]
Processes that take place in permalloy nanodots under external electromagnetic pumping are considered. It is shown that in such system similar to bulk samples Suhl and kinetic instability processes are possible.

Detection of a magnetic bead by hybrid nanodevices using scanning gate microscopy
Hybrid ferromagnetic(Py)/non-magnetic metal(Au) junctions with a width of 400 nm are studied by magnetotransport measurements, magnetic scanning gate microscopy (SGM) with a magnetic bead (MB) attached to the probe, and micromagnetic simulations.

Direct observation of temperature dependent vortex dynamics in a La_{0.7}Sr_{0.3}MnO_{3} micromagnet
Although it is well documented that the vortex core in a micromagnet can switch polarization in response to magnetic field pulses, the temperature dependence of this process has not yet been addressed by experiments.

Magnetic domain walls interacting with dislocations in micromagnetic simulations
Defects, impurities, and embedded particles in ferromagnetic materials are long known to be responsible for the Barkhausen effect due to the jerky field-driven motion of domain walls and have more recently been shown to play a role also in domain wall ...
