Generating golden Syrian hamsters with conditional alleles via zygote microinjection of CRISPR/Cas9
We established the first conditional knockout (cKO) model in the golden Syrian hamster by CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated genome editing. Cas9 protein, two sgRNAs, and a donor plasmid carrying loxP‐flanked exon 2 of the ApoF gene were microinjected into one‐cell embryos. The floxed allele was efficiently generated (up to 27%) and transmitted through the germline.

Robotic Cell Micromanipulation Skill Learning via Imitation‐Enhanced Reinforcement Learning
ABSTRACT Humans can learn complex and dexterous manipulation tasks by observing videos, imitating and exploring. Multiple end‐effectors manipulation of free micron‐sized deformable cells is one of the challenging tasks in robotic micromanipulation. We propose an imitation‐enhanced reinforcement learning method inspired by the human learning process ...

Immune involvement in neuropsychiatric disorders: Insights from single‐cell transcriptomic studies
Neuropsychiatric disorders pose profound challenges to both research and treatment, largely due to their clinical heterogeneity and the limited understanding of their underlying biological mechanisms. While bulk RNA sequencing (bulk RNA‐seq) has been widely used to study gene expression, it cannot resolve cell‐type‐specific signals or detect rare ...

Advanced trajectory engineering of diffraction-resisting laser beams [PDF]
We introduce an analytical technique for engineering the trajectory of diffraction-resisting laser beams. The generated beams have a Bessel-like transverse field distribution and can be navigated along rather arbitrary curved paths in free space, thus ...
