Micrometeorology in the Tropics *
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 1949Thermistor bead thermometers and anemometers were used to record the micrometeorological changes in temperatures and wind speeds in the jungles of Panama. Twenty-four hour continuous observations were made through a layer of atmosphere up to 160 feet from which temperature and wind-speed gradients were determined above and below the canopy.

Micrometeorology of sprinkler irrigation
Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, 2015Evaporation during sprinkler irrigation involves complex and multiple micrometeorological changes at various stages as the crop canopy is wetted and subsequently dries. The advection of energy is important in this process, particularly with lateral move and centre pivot machines which are used to irrigate extensive areas of cropping and result in a ...

Micrometeorology and the Jet Engine
The Korean Jornal of History of Science, 2019This paper is an attempt at examining the structure of the jet engine from a micrometeorological perspective, in order to further develop the emerging methodology of “machine critique.” As an outsider of science and engineering, a social scientist can probe into the deeper layers of complex machines, which will lead to fresh perspectives.

The micrometeorology of the urban forest
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. B, Biological Sciences, 1989Abstract Urban trees occupy a wide variety of habitats, from a single specimen competing in the urban jungle to extensive remnant or planted forest stands. Each is shown to produce distinct micro- to local scale climates contributing to the larger urban climate mosaic.
