Biotransformation of 2-acetylthiophene by micromycetes
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1991The biotransformation of 2-acetylthiophene by 800 strains of micromycetes has been investigated. Among them, 460 strains have been selected on solid media and cultivated in a liquid synthetic medium. Of these, 106 strains were able to completely deplete 2-acetylthiophene with or without production of intermediary metabolites.

Filamentous micromycetes in working environment.
Journal of hygiene, epidemiology, microbiology, and immunology, 1991We investigated quantitative and qualitative representation of the germs of filamentous micromycetes in the samples of plant origin which were taken in connection with objective and subjective changes of health state of employees' respiratory tract from various factories. On the basis of the received results it is required to deal with questions on the

Terrigenous micromycetes in freshwater ecosystems (review)
Inland Water Biology, 2014The occurrence, abundance, and taxonomical composition of fungi have been analyzed for different compounds of the freshwater ecosystems of various natural zones (from tundra to desert), particularly, for plankton, benthos, on living and dead plant substrates, and on some fish species.

[Micromycetes, mycotoxins and human health].
Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1999Mycotoxins are toxic metabolites produced by certain toxigenic microscopic fungi (moulds) in and on foods. Consequently mycotoxin-containing foods have been found all over the world: Africa, Asia, North and South America, Australia and Europe. The extent of the problem is greater in some parts of the world than in others because their climatic ...

[Herbicide activity of some micromycetes].
Mikrobiolohichnyi zhurnal (Kiev, Ukraine : 1993), 2012Screening of phytotoxic properties of 5 micromycete strains were made concerning cultivated plants and weeds. All of the strains show phytotoxic activity of different levels. In particular, the cultural filtrates of Penicillium sp. 10-51 and Aspergillus niveus 2411 suppressed the growth of seeds of Galinsoga parviflora, Amaranthus retroflexus and ...

SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF CELLULOSE DESTRUCTOR MICROMYCETES
Scientific research of the SCO countries: synergy and integrationFungi in the air of library storages and on the surface of books pose a danger to the paper of documents, the leather of bindings and for keepers and librarians. Certain properties of fungi characterize their resistance to adverse environmental conditions and, consequently, survive in libraries and cause bio- damage to books. The results of determining

T-2 toxin degradation by micromycetes.
Journal of hygiene, epidemiology, microbiology, and immunology, 1991The biodegradation of T-2 toxin was studied by strains of micromycetes which were isolated from the environment. The 26 tested strains were divided into three groups. Group contains strains which degraded T-2 toxin very fast. This toxin could not be chromatographically determined in the medium even after 48 hours of incubation and the antifungal ...
