Cell models for micropolar fluid past a porous micropolar fluid sphere with stress jump condition

Physics of Fluids, 2022
The axisymmetric creeping flow of micropolar fluid past a porous surface saturated with micropolar fluid is investigated analytically. A sphere's surface is assumed to have adequate boundary conditions, but the appropriate boundary conditions applied to its fictitious envelope differ based on the type of cell model used.

Axisymmetric motion of a solid particle embedded in a Brinkman micropolar fluid in the presence of a plane wall

The Physics of Fluids, 2023
The axisymmetric motion of a solid spherical particle embedded in a hydrogel medium in the presence of a planar wall surface is investigated semi-analytically.

Thermal features of Darcy-Forchheimer on a micropolar fluid flow over a curved stretching surface with homogenous-heterogeneous reactions

Numerical Heat Transfer, Part A Applications, 2023
The main focus of contemporary study is to explore the Darcy magnetized flow of a micropolar second-grade fluid by consideration of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions over a curved stretching surface.

Exploration of thermal Péclet number, vortex viscosity, and Reynolds number on two‐dimensional flow of micropolar fluid through a channel due to mixed convection

Heat Transfer, 2022
The present theoretical investigation is conducted on a micropolar fluid medium channel in the presence of mixed and nonlinear convection with the assumptions of thermal radiation and species reactive agents.

Effects of a spherical slip cavity filled with micropolar fluid on a spherical micropolar droplet

Fluid Dynamics Research, 2023
In this work, a two-fluid phase flow problem involving an axisymmetrical quasi-steady motion of a spherical micropolar droplet translating at a concentric point in a second non-mixable micropolar fluid within a spherical impermeable cavity with a slip ...

Thermal analysis of micropolar fluid flow driven by electroosmosis and peristalsis in microchannels

International Journal of Ambient Energy, 2022
Thermo-micropolar fluids contain small conductive particles, which would be useful for drug delivery and localised heating. Considering the importance of the special fluid model (micropolar fluids), a mathematical model is formulated to analyse the heat ...

Lubrication Theory for Micropolar Fluids

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1971
The equations governing the flow of a fluid with rigid, spherical substructure are summarized. A two-dimensional flow field is considered and applied to the geometry of a slider bearing. Order-of-magnitude arguments are used which reduce the governing equations to a system of coupled, linear, ordinary differential equations.
