Integrated Micropower Circuits
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace, 1964A study program was conducted to provide guidelines for the design of integrated micropower logic circuits. Constraints of maximum resistance, propagation time, and minimum power at frequencies below 150 kcps were imposed. Complementary Resistor-Diode-Transistor Logic offered the best trade-off performance within these constraints and state-of-the-art ...

A micropower dry-electrode ECG preamplifier
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2000This paper describes the development of a very low-power preamplifier intended for use in pasteless-electrode recording of the human electrocardiogram. The expected input signal range is 100 microV-10 mV from a lead-II electrode configuration. The amplifier provides a gain of 43 dB in a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.05 Hz-2 kHz with a defined high input ...

A micropower amperometric potentiostat
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2004Abstract A micropower amperometric potentiostat, suitable for use in cost-sensitive analytical sensors has been built and characterised in our laboratory. The low-power, low-cost and miniature design makes this potentiostat potentially attractive for use in handheld, portable and battery powered electrochemical instruments and sensors where component

A micropower amplitude modulator
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1971Amplitude modulation using micropower transistors is often required for many applications in communications and instrumentation. A micropower current-gain block with its h FE stabilized over several I C decades can be used with additional circuitry for this purpose. This letter describes such a modulator and its operating characteristics.

Design techniques suitable for micropower integrated circuits are discussed. Some systems require subpicoampere input bias and amplifier, timing, and logic functions with a several hundred milliampere output capability-at a standby current level of a few microamperes.

Schottky junction transistors for micropower RFICs
2002 IEEE Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Symposium. Digest of Papers (Cat. No.02CH37280), 2003Results are presented from measurements and numerical simulations of Schottky Junction Transistors, a new type of micropower device capable of operating at GHz frequencies in the sub-threshold regime. Detailed measurements of the d.c. characteristics of a 2 /spl mu/m gate length device agree well with numerical simulations.

Micropower From Tidal Turbines
Volume 1B, Symposia: Fluid Machinery; Fluid Power; Fluid-Structure Interaction and Flow-Induced Noise in Industrial Applications; Flow Applications in Aerospace; Flow Manipulation and Active Control: Theory, Experiments and Implementation; Fundamental Issues and Perspectives in Fluid Mechanics, 2013In addition to utility-scale power generation (e.g., rated capacities greater than 106 W), there are also possibilities for tidal current generation at the micro-scale (e.g., rated capacities less than 102 W) that could provide power to autonomous oceanographic instrumentation. This paper presents performance characteristics of a high-solidity, helical,

Micropower Electronic Switches for Implanted Instrumentation
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1982Low-power miniature switching circuits for controlling the power supply to an implanted electronic circuit are described. These circuits can be used as power supply switches for conserving battery power on implanted systems. Monostable and bistable switches that can be triggered either by radio-frequency energy or light are presented.
