Study on Microrotating Structure Using Microwire Electrical Discharge Machining

Materials and Manufacturing Processes, 2014
This paper discusses fabrication method of the rotating structure using microwire electrical discharge machining (micro-WEDM). A high-speed rotating spindle has been designed and installed to in-house developed micro-WEDM equipment with two axis to enable the processing microrotating structure. In order to realize high-precision processing, a numerical

Exploring microrotational effects and temperature variations in electroosmotic peristalsis in tapered microchannel

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik
AbstractThe current study is based on the effects of microrotational dynamics, microinertial effects, and temperature changes on electroosmotic peristalsis in a tapered microchannel. This has been addressed by an analytical study of heat transfer in the setting of electroosmotic peristaltic flow involving a micropolar fluid, specifically considering a ...

Computer simulation of material behavior at the notch tip: Effect of microrotations on elastic energy release

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016
The paper is devoted to detailed investigation of rotational deformation modes at the notch tip during shock loading. Using hybrid discrete-continuum approach of Excitable Cellular Automata the series of numerical experiments were conducted to simulate deformation behavior of ductile steel in the vicinities of U-, I- and V-notches.

Stagnation point on the micropolar bioconvection nanofluid flow over inclined Riga plate: Keller box analysis

The Physics of Fluids
This study aims to examine chemical reactive agents on the micropolar of a nanoliquid containing motile bacteria spreading over an incline on the Riga plate. An electromagnetic actuator installed on the surface is called a Riga plate.
