Single Wavelength Microring Laser
CLEO: 2013, 2013We report a novel microring single mode laser that operates based on engineering radiation quality factors of its resonant modes using a second order grating. A theoretical description, fabrication details and measurement results are presented.

Cantilever-Based Microring Lasers
2018 IEEE International Semiconductor Laser Conference (ISLC), 2018Cantilever-based microring lasers were demonstrated based on InGaP/InGaAlP quantum wells emitting at red region. The lasing properties were studied by using optical pumping at room temperature. Besides, refractive index sensor and strain gauge based on the cantilever-based microring lasers were illustrated.
