Abstract Two-dimensional eye movements of seven subjects (five naive and two not naive) were recorded by the search coil technique while they aimed and shot a rifle and threaded a sewing needle. Four of the naive subjects, who made microsaccades (mean size = 7′) while they fixated (2/sec).
