Dynamic geo‐hydrogeological monitoring‐driven situational awareness for real‐time floor water inrush risk prediction in deep mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The fused data extracted from the distributed monitoring system as the data basis, combined with dynamic geological data, are imported into a deep learning model. As the geological conditions of mining and excavation change, the risk of water inrush at the working face is retrieved in real time.

Prediction method for rockburst hazard areas based on microseismic spatiotemporal flow map

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
The spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of microseismic events are closely related to the intensity of rockbursts in coal mines. Prediction methods and visual representations of microseismic data based on machine learning are important technical ...

Resonance in downhole microseismic data and its removal [PDF]

open access: yesSEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2016, 2016
Author(s): Zhang, Z; Rector, JW; Nava, MJ | Abstract: We identified resonance due to poor geophone-borehole cou- pling in downhole microseismic data and proposed to use spik- ing deconvolution and relative spectrum analysis to remove its effect. The resonance may hinder the arrival time picking and contaminate microseismic waveform spectrum.

Research on the Laws of Destructive Patterns and Control Measures of Overlying Rock in High‐Efficiency Large‐Scale Mining Faces

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
With the advancement of coal mining technology driving the development of working faces toward increased mining heights and extended lengths, the enlargement of face dimensions has led to expanded overlying strata failure zones and intensified ground pressure manifestations. Consequently, traditional methods for determining hydraulic support resistance

Reliable Denoising Strategy to Enhance the Accuracy of Arrival Time Picking of Noisy Microseismic Recordings

open access: yesSensors, 2023
We propose a method to enhance the accuracy of arrival time picking of noisy microseismic recordings. A series of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) of the microseismic signal are initially decomposed by employing the ensemble empirical mode decomposition ...

Comparison of geomechanical deformation induced by megatonne-scale CO2 storage at Sleipner, Weyburn, and In Salah [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Geological storage of CO2 that has been captured at large, point source emitters represents a key potential method for reduction of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. However, this technology will only be viable if it can be guaranteed that injected
