Frozen shoulder rehabilitation using microsoft kinect
2017 International Conference on Innovations in Green Energy and Healthcare Technologies (IGEHT), 2017Frozen Shoulder, also known as Adhesive Capsulitis ceases the mobilization of internal rotators of the shoulder joints. This paper proposes an easy-to-use intervention for frozen shoulder rehabilitation using low-cost markerless depth camera Microsoft Kinect. Our system consists two applications developed with Kinect Software Development Kit 2.0 (SDK).

Conductor Tutoring Using the Microsoft Kinect
2015In this paper we present a system that uses the Microsoft Kinect to provide beginner conducting students real time feedback about their performance. Using upper body joint coordinates we detect common mistakes such as swaying, rocking, excessive hinge movement, and mirroring. We compute instant velocities to determine tempo and classify articulation as

Implementing Augmented Reality Using Microsoft Kinect
2018 IEEE 22nd International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems (INES), 2018This project was created to provide a spectacular and interactive way of teaching geography to the new generation, whose members are often visual learners. The system, consisting of a Microsoft Kinect sensor, a projector, a computer, and a box filled with sand, can visualize topography and it can show in real time, that how changing the terrain affects

A Microsoft Kinect Based Virtual Rehabilitation System
2014 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control, 2014Virtual reality technology is currently widely applied in physical rehabilitation therapy. The ability to track joint positions for Microsoft Kinect might be useful for rehabilitation, both in clinical setting and at home. Currently, most systems developed for virtual rehabilitation and motor training require quite complex and expensive hardware and ...

Pedestrian behaviour analysis using the microsoft kinect
2016 IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communication Workshops (PerCom Workshops), 2016An important challenge for brick-and-mortar retail businesses is how to monitor the interest of customers in displays and products in a store. We investigate the effectiveness of the Microsoft Kinect as a sensor to monitor the behaviour of pedestrians, which may reflect their interest in a store display or advertisement.

Motion classifier for Microsoft Kinect
Currently there are many techniques for motion classification. Herein we use Microsoft Kinect for motion capture. Our motion classifier employs an algorithm called Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). We tested the classifier with 7 hand motions: single circle, double circle, punch, uppercut, square, triangle, and flipped triangle. The experimental results showopenaire +1 more source
