Chitosan and Nanohydroxyapatite Roles in Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Gelatin/Chitosan/Nanohydroxyapatite Microspheres [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2010
The effects of chitosan/biopolymer (C/P) and nanohydroxyapatite/ biopolymer (nHA/P) weight ratios on particle size and its uniformity, cross-linking density and NH2 content of nano-hydroxyapatite/chitosan/gelatin (nHA/C/G) microspheres were investigated.

Fiber Microsphere Coupled in a Taper for a Large Curvature Range

open access: yesFibers, 2019
This work consists of using an optical fiber microsphere as a sensor for a wide range of curvature radii. The microsphere was manufactured in a standard fiber with an electric arc.

Up-Conversion Luminescence and C-Band Laser in Er3+-Doped Fluorozirconate Glass Microsphere Resonator

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2019
Up-conversion luminescence and C-band microsphere laser output is reported for an Er3+-doped ZrF4-BaF2-YF3-AlF3 (ZBYA) fluorozirconate glass microsphere. The microsphere was fabricated by heating a ZBYA glass filament using a CO2 laser beam.

Effect of Fabrication Process Parameters on the Size of Gelatin/Nanohydroxyapatite Microspheres [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2009
Nano-hydroxyapatite/gelatin (nHA/Ge) microspheres are currently used in bone tissue engineering as bone filler. In this  study, the effect of fabrication process parameters on the particle size of nano-hydroxyapatite/gelatinmicrospheres was investigated.

In-fiber Silicon Microspheres [PDF]

open access: yesAsia Communications and Photonics Conference 2015, 2015
We have proposed and demonstrated an approach to fabricate integrated in-fiber silicon microspheres, which have nearly atomically smooth surface roughness ~0.16 nm. The hybrid structure forms a cavity with high temperature sensitivity ~ 80 pm/°C.

A Measurement Method of Microsphere with Dual Scanning Probes

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The probe tip of a micro-coordinate Measuring Machine (micro-CMM) is a microsphere with a diameter of hundreds of microns, and its sphericity is generally controlled within tens to hundreds of nanometers.

Transfer functions of proteinoid microspheres

open access: yesBiosystems, 2023
Proteinoids, or thermal proteins, are inorganic entities formed by heating amino acids to their melting point and commencing polymerisation to form polymeric chains. Typically, their diameters range from 10 to 100 micron. Some amino acids incorporated into proteinoid chains are more hydrophobic than others, leading proteinoids to cluster together when ...
