In this paper, a wideband vertical microstrip-to-microstrip transition designed with cross-coupled microstrip and slotline resonators is proposed. By utilizing two identical microstrip lines on top and bottom layers perpendicularly coupled with a uniform slotline resonator on the ground plane, a wideband filtering performance with three transmission ...

The microstrip antenna (MSA) consists of a dielectric substrate in between a metallic conducting patch and a ground plane. The most common forms of the MSA are the rectangular and circular patch MSAs. There are several microstrip antenna analysis methods. The most popular models are transmission-line model, cavity model, method of moments, FDTD method,

Conformal microstrip antennas and microstrip phased arrays
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1974A new class of antennas using microstrips to form the feed networks and radiators is presented in this communication. These antennas have four distinct advantages: 1) cost, 2) performance, 3) ease of installation, and 4) the low profile conformal design. The application of these antennas is limited to small bandwidths.

Microstrip/thick‐slot/microstrip transitions in millimeter waves
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2002AbstractThis Letter deals with millimeter microstrip/thick‐slot/microstrip transitions. This kind of transition permits multilayer microstrip antenna arrays to feed. The objectives were to develop and to optimize this transition at 60 GHz, with the use of a low‐loss, low‐cost substrate.

A conventional microstrip ring resonator when folded up into a more compact structure is shown to exhibit similar characteristics to the annular-ring resonator. The folded ring resonator can resonate at identical resonant modes as the annular-ring resonator, which is designed to operate at the same fundamental mode frequency when fabricated on an ...
