Loss Compensation and Coherent Virtual Absorption via Virtual Complex Frequency Wave Excitation

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
By establishing a mathematical bridge between real and complex frequencies, we present a general method for complex frequency wave excitation to obtain all electromagnetic responses at complex frequencies. Using properties of complex frequency waves, we compensate for the propagating loss of point sources and surface plasmon polaritons.

Microwave Diplexer Purely Based on Direct Synchronous and Asynchronous Coupling [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
A diplexer realized purely based on direct coupling is presented. No cross-coupling is involved in the design process. The microwave diplexer is achieved by coupling a dual-band bandpass filter onto two individual channel filters.

A New Method for Designing Modified Compact Microstrip LPF with Sharp Roll-Off and Wide Stopband [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2021
A new method for designing a compact microstrip lowpass filter (LPF) with wide stopband width (SBW) and sharp roll off (ROF) is presented. In proposed designing procedure, high impedance microstrip lines are bent to achieve an LPF with compact size. Then,

Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons in Terahertz Integrated Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
Terahertz integrated circuits (THz ICs) face challenges from wavelength‐scale dimensions and parasitic effects. Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) provide strong confinement and enhanced near fields, enabling novel transmission and modulation mechanisms.

Miniaturised microstrip filters and diplexers for wireless communication systems

open access: yes, 2008
A highly miniaturized microstrip diplexer composed of pseudointerdigital quasi-elliptical bandpass filters is proposed. Compactness of diplexer is achieved through the combination of the bandpass filters, which does not require matching network.
