The microstrip spiral antenna

European Transactions on Telecommunications, 1990
AbstractThe Archimedean printed spiral antenna is investigated by numerical methods, usjng the Green's function for stratified media. The integral equation for the current distribution is obtained by imposing the condition of vanishing total electric field tangential to the conducting strip and solved by application of the method of moments.Knowledge of

Novel Reconfigurable Microstrip Antenna

2008 IEEE Region 10 and the Third international Conference on Industrial and Information Systems, 2008
A microstrip square patch antenna is designed and analyzed with re configurability in frequency and polarization. The patch contains two orthogonal slots and two rectangular patches added across the length and width. The diversity in frequency and polarization is achieved through the use of PIN diodes.

Broadband E-shaped microstrip reflectarray antenna with microstrip antenna feed

2015 International Conference on Microwave, Optical and Communication Engineering (ICMOCE), 2015
Broadband reflectarray microstrip antenna with an array and feed element consisting of E-shaped patches is proposed. The reflect array configurations namely, 1 × 3, 3 × 1, plus-shaped and 3 × 3 arrays have been studied. A parametric study for varying distances between the fed E-shaped patch and array of E-shaped patches for varying slot dimensions is ...

Multi‐band rectangular microstrip antennas

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2007
AbstractConfigurations with slotted rectangular microstrip antennas using rectangular slot and half U‐slot cut inside the patch for multi‐band operation are proposed. Also, the multi‐port network models for these multi‐band rectangular microstrip antennas are proposed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

A broadband microstrip antenna: SGMFP antenna

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2003
AbstractA novel structure of broadband microstrip antennas, termed the SGMFP antenna, is proposed. It is consisted of a slot in the ground plane, a microstrip feedline supported on a substrate, a foam layer, and a patch. It can achieve broad bandwidth and high polarisation purity.

Small Square Microstrip Antenna

2010
A small shorted square microstrip antenna with air dielectric (e r = 1.001) substrate is presented. The probe fed square microstrip antenna incorporates a single shorting post of radius 0.6mm which significantly reduces the overall size or area by 82% from a conventional square microstrip antenna of same substrate and height.

A multifrequency microstrip antenna

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005
AbstractInvestigations of a microstrip antenna for multifrequency operation are reported. The integral‐equation method, using IE3D software, is used for the analysis of the antenna. The antenna can be used to operate at four different resonance frequencies with broadside radiation patterns.

The sinuous microstrip antenna

Antennas and Propagation Society Symposium 1991 Digest, 2002
Multioctave microstrip antennas recently developed by the authors (1990) for a spiral geometry have been extended to a sinuous geometry with good performance over a 5:1 bandwidth. The motivation for using the sinuous configuration is to achieve polarization diversity.

Multifunctional microstrip antennas

1985 Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005
A microstrip antenna system that is capable of simultaneously transmitting an outgoing circularly polarized wave while receiving an incoming circularly polarized wave using a microstrip patch antenna element and a signal processing network is disclosed. The signal processing system connects the antenna element to a transmitter and receiver and produces
