Circular microstrip antenna array
Antennas and Propagation Society Symposium 1991 Digest, 2002The radiated fields due to a circular array of patch antennas are investigated. The aperture method is used to determine the fields of the patch; for this initial study, the effects of mutual coupling are not included. The dependence of the radiated fields on the array geometry is examined for a frequency of 10 GHz and a substrate dielectric constant ...

A Standing-Wave Microstrip Array Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2010The design and analysis of a single-layer standing-wave microstrip array antenna are presented. No quarter-wave transformers or power dividers are present in the design. The main emphasis of this paper is on the multiple reflections in the feedline causing a standing-wave of a higher-order mode.

Compact circularly-polarized microstrip array antenna
2010 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2010AbstractThis article first presents a compact circularly polarized single patch antenna. The radiating structure consists of a square patch with embedding four bent slots to reduce the overall dimensions. Circular polarization is obtained by feeding the patch with 90° phase shift between two pins placed symmetrically on the two main axes.

Microstrip array antenna for fire-detection applications
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007AbstractIn this paper, a first investigation on critical issues for a fire‐detection ground‐based Ku‐band radiometer antenna design is addressed. A printed technology with standard dielectrics has been employed, to reach low cost, simplicity in realization, and easy integrability with the electronic front‐end.

An equivalent network for rectangular shaped microstrip radiating elements is derived. In order to simplify the problem the radiating elements are considered as two slots separated by a transmission line of low characteristic impedance. The slots are characterized by their equivalent admittances.

Crumpling of Microstrip Antenna Array
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2013The performance of a 2 × 2 microstrip patch array under crumpling conditions is presented. The antenna array was manufactured on textile material, and three cases of crumpling resembling real applications are discussed. The performance of the individual patch elements correlate with the overall performance of the array. Frequency shifts of up to 6% are

Broadband microstrip array antenna
1980 Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 1980A broadband (13%) microstrip array antenna with high efficiency, low cost and low weight has been designed and evaluated. The antenna is foam supported and is about 0.15 \lambda thick. The feeding is accomplished by a separate microstrip network. This antenna is compared with two dielectric loaded microstrip antennas, one with a separate stripline feed
