Superimposed dichroic microstrip antenna arrays

IEE Proceedings H Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, 1988
The dichroic microstrip antenna concept is reported which enables an antenna aperture to function at two widely separated frequencies fH and fL. The innovation centres on the utilisation of printed frequency selective mesh conductors as microstrip patch antennas at fL, which in turn become transparent to near-field radiation at fH, from another ...

A 24GHz microstrip array antenna

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology, 2011
A novel 24GHz microstrip array antenna with 168 rectangular resonators is presented. Compared with the traditional 18×14 microstrip elements array, 84 elements may be reduced with same performance. The feeding network with Dolph-Chebyshev distribution is used for low side lob, and the side lobe of microstrip array antenna is less than −17 dB.

High Efficiency Microstrip Antenna Array

17th European Microwave Conference, 1987, 1987
A fixed beam (broadside) two-dimensional microstrip array of 16×16 resonant rectangular radiating elements at the frequency of 8.15 GHz with a gain of 29.5 dB is presented. A modular approach is utilized in which a given antenna is used as a building block for a higher-gain antenna.

Array-antenna Decoupling Surface for Dual-band Microstrip Antenna Array

2020 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2020
A compact Array-antenna Decoupling Surface (ADS) is presented to decouple dual-band microstrip antenna array, working at 4.5GHz and 5.6GHz. Through diffracting part of the radiated waves to cancel the coupled ones, ADS can greatly reduce the mutual coupling of 10dB and 20.4dB at two frequencies between array elements.

Compact Filtering Patch Antenna Arrays for Marine Communications

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2020
A planar 2 × 2 filtering patch antenna array with high selectivity and wide stopband is investigated for marine communications. The 2 × 2 patch array is composed of a driven patch and four identical parasitic patches placed nearby.

Tilted beam microstrip array antenna

2017 IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Informatics, Communication and Energy Systems (SPICES), 2017
Tilting of broadside radiation pattern of microstrip antenna array is obtained by loading SRR on the ground plane between antenna elements. Progressive Phase Shift method is used here. The phase delay generated by single SRR is around 500 when compared to a reference transmission line.

Microstrip active antennas and arrays

1988., IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003
A description is presented of active antennas and arrays fabricated using microstrip patch antennas and Gunn diodes. Injection-locking experiments were carried out on these X-band antennas to achieve frequency coherency and to calculate the circuit Q-factor. An electronic tuning range of over 9% has been achieved for the single active patch element.

Planar microstrip Yagi array antenna

Digest on Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2003
The Yagi concept is introduced for the planar microstrip array. With parasitic director and reflector patches located on the same plane of the driven element, the beam peak, by the effect of mutual coupling, can be tilted toward the endfire direction. With this capability, the power divider and phase delay transmission lines in a conventional array are

Multi-Layer Microstrip Array Antenna

18th European Microwave Conference, 1988, 1988
The bandwidth behaviour of a pair of stacked rectangular patches is investigated experimentally. The return loss is measured as functions of the size of the upper patch and the separation of the patches. The band-width of the optimized stacked antenna is twice as broad as the bandwidth of the single patch with equal height.
