Microstrip-CPW transitions for antenna array applications

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1999
Coplanar waveguides nowadays are successfully used to feed printed antennas. This technique is very interesting for antenna arrays. However, the complete system involves the association of several microwave functions, essentially power divisions and phase shifts, which are easier to implement in microstrip technology than in CPW technology. In order to

Comparison between microstrip grid array antenna and patch array antenna

2016 IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON), 2016
In this paper, a microstrip grid array antenna is designed and compared to bandwidth-enhanced patch array antenna. The proposed microstrip grid array antenna has 145 radiating elements which are on a single-layer electrically-thin RT/duroid 5880 substrate.

A Phased Array Antenna using Microstrip Patch Antennas

12th European Microwave Conference, 1982, 1982
A phased array antenna using microstrip for tne AMES (Aeronautical Maritime Engineering Satellite) airborne antenna. The phased array antenna has tested over a frequency range from 1.54 to 1.65 GHz. Scanning abilities up to +30 degrees have been verified over above the frequency range. The V.S.W.R is less than 2 to 1 over 8.4 percent bandwidth.

Microstrip Antenna and Phased Array

1988 18th European Microwave Conference, 1988
A systematic approach to analysis of notch-fed rectangular microstrip raditing element and its application to phased array is discussed. A modular design method of medium gain microstrip array is described. Design formulas and plots, sufficiently accurate to specify important design properties of the proposed antenna are included.

Conformal Microstrip Slot Antenna and Antenna Array.

1986
Abstract : This final report covers the investigation of two microstrip antenna types, the microstrip slot radiator and the microstrip dual folded dipole. The slot dipole is a wide bandwidth (20%), low efficiency (20%) radiator suitable for use in for use in serial slot arrays, and is subject to beam steering with frequency.

Multiport microstrip grid array antenna

2017 10th Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves, 2017
This paper first summarizes the research and development of microstrip grid array antennas for millimeterwave radio and radar applications over the recent years. Then the paper describes multiport microstrip grid array antennas to explore their use in multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) systems.

Design of Metamaterial Microstrip Array Antenna

2019 18th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN), 2019
In this paper, a new type of metamaterial structure based on open resonant ring is proposed. On this basis, a microstrip array antenna based on metamaterial is designed and simulated by HFSS.
