This letter proposes reflectionless linearly and circularly polarised patch antennas based on loading complementary absorptive branches. By establishing the equivalent circuit model of a conventional patch antenna, the complementary absorptive branch could be designed to dissipate the out‐of‐band energy through the grounded resistor, thereby achieving ...

A Novel High Suppression Multilayer Frequency‐Selective Surface Based on Hexagonal Grids
This FSS exhibits passband characteristics at around 8.15 GHz with the resonance frequency and passband characteristics remaining stable under 50° oblique incidence and TE and TM polarisation. Furthermore, its rapid roll‐off and wideband suppression characteristics are not sensitive to incidence angle and polarisation variations indicating excellent ...

Enhanced Gain Through a Novel Approach to Designing a Composite SWB Antenna‐FSS
ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose a novel dual‐layered frequency selective surface (FSS) with a unit cell dimension (length × ${\times} $ width × ${\times} $ thickness) of 30λ×30λ×1.8λ $30\lambda \times 30\lambda \times 1.8\lambda $, operating over a frequency range of 0.5–14.1 GHz (187%) (λ $\lambda $ represents the wavelength at 8.3 GHz).

Reflectionless Bandpass Filters Using Two Dual Bandpass Filters
A new approach for designing a reflectionless bandpass filter is presented at microwave frequency. Two dual band‐pass (BP) filters and a Wilkinson‐like power divider are used to match the input and output ports. Based on the dual circuits theory, it is possible to absorb the reflections of the two dual BPFs in one resistor and prevent the total ...

Tuning the Resonance Frequency and Miniaturization of a Novel Microstrip Bandpass Filter
In this paper, a compact microstrip bandpass filter is designed using two open loop resonators. In order to obtain a tunable bandpass response with low insertion loss, two stubs are loaded inside them.
