Toward Large Nonradiating Qubits: When Quantum Engineering Meets Photonics
Nonradiating superconducting qubits suppress radiative losses through photonic‐inspired mechanisms such as anapole states and bound states in the continuum (BICs). This review surveys theoretical foundations and recent implementations of large, wavelength‐scale qubits that confine electromagnetic energy while maintaining coherence.

A new neural network technique for the design of multilayered microwave shielded bandpass filters [PDF]
In this work, we propose a novel technique based on neural networks, for the design of microwave filters in shielded printed technology. The technique uses radial basis function neural networks to represent the non linear relations between the quality ...

Reconfigurable Metamirrors Based on Compliant Mechanisms
Providing the basis for numerous practical applications, the reconfigurability of metadevices is of great importance. Through the integration of controlled mechanical deformation with chiral meta‐atoms, a compliant mechanism based metamirror is demonstrated for active control over the polarization of electromagnetic waves.

Efficient Gradient-Based Algorithm with Numerical Derivatives for Expedited Optimization of Multi-Parameter Miniaturized Impedance Matching Transformers [PDF]
Full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools have become ubiquitous in the design of microwave components. In some cases, e.g., miniaturized microstrip components, EM analysis is mandatory due to considera¬ble cross-coupling effects that cannot be ...

Efficient Calculation of the Green's Functions for Multilayered Shielded Cavities with Right Isosceles-Triangular Cross-Section [PDF]
An efficient calculation of the Green’s functions inside multilayered shielded cavities with right isosceles-triangular cross-section is presented. The method is entirely developed in the spatial domain, and it is based on image theory.

Quasi-optical SIS mixers with normal metal tuning structures [PDF]
We recently reported (1996) a quasi-optical SIS mixer which used Nb/Al-oxide/Nb tunnel junctions and a normal-metal (Al) tuning circuit to achieve an uncorrected receiver noise temperature of 840 K (DSB) at 1042 GHz.

Circuit Modelling of Bandpass/Channel Filter with Microstrip Implementation
This paper presents a step-by-step approach to the design of bandpass/channel filters. A 3-pole Chebyshev bandpass filter (BPF) with centre frequency of 2.6 GHz, fractional bandwidth of 3%, passband ripple of 0.04321 dB and return loss of 20 dB has been designed, implemented, and simulated.
