Single-Sided Filters in Microstrip Technology

31st European Microwave Conference, 2001, 2001
This paper describes how to approach the design of microstrip filters with requirements in one passband and one stopband, both of finite extension (single-sided filters). Suitable filter topologies have been investigated, which allow having the filter passband either above or below the filter stopband.

Novel compact microstrip interdigital bandstop filters

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2004
A novel compact microstrip interdigital band-stop filter is designed and implemented. The structure is similar to that of an interdigital capacitor. The input port and output ports are connected to form the bandstop characteristic. This proposed filter with microstrip interdigital geometry not only exhibits good bandstop characteristics and a tunable ...

Microstrip filter analysis using a microstrip waveguide model

Radio and Electronic Engineer, 1980
The microstrip waveguide model has been successfully applied to a host of elementary discontinuity problems generally encountered in microstrip circuits. However, until now the efficiency of the model has never been proved for more complex distributed microstrip structures such as multiple element filters, where both the amplitude and the phase of the ...

Multimode resonator microstrip bandpass filters

2017 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Automatic Control and Intelligent Systems (I2CACIS), 2017
Multimode resonators are used to make compact bandpass filters. Although the design principles of these filters are quite different from classical filter synthesis, no major discussion of these filters has appeared as reviews or in books. This paper discusses some of the features and design procedures of these filters.

Microstrip bandstop filter using G-shaped defected microstrip structure

2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS), 2017
In recent years, many scholars have used defected microstrip structure (DMS) to design the notch fllter, which has similar characteristics to DGS, such as the properties of slow-wave, rejecting microwaves in certain frequencies and decreasing the size of the microstrip fllter.

Optimization of microstrip filters tolerances

The Experience of Designing and Application of CAD Systems in Microelectronics, 2003. CADSM 2003. Proceedings of the 7th International Conference., 2004
The procedure of optimization of microstrip filter tolerances allowing for correlation of member tolerances is proposed. The filters realized on the basis of elements with lumped parameters are considered. The model for calculating tolerances is shaped by mapping transfer functions into the space of interval values.

Microstrip band pass filter design

2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
In this study, a microstrip structure has been suggested for use in open ring resonator microwave filter. This resonators are used in order to design a bandpass filter. Open ring resonator structures characterized by higher performance and have good frequency response for bandpass filters. Both resonator and band-pass filter is design with a simulation

Microstrip Comb Line Filters

1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975
The known design procedures for comb line filters are applicable only to filters using TEM-mode transmission line systems. Synthesis procedures for comb line filters using coupled microstrip transmission lines must take into account the unequality of the phase velocities of the fundamental modes on such a system. Such a method is presented.

A novel microstrip loop filter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2005
Conventional loop filters often have large areas that are not fully utilized. To alleviate this problem, a novel elliptic-microstrip loop filter centered at 6.65 GHz and with a fractional bandwidth of 23% is proposed. The fabricated filter has a measured insertion loss of about 1.5 dB and a 0.6-dB ripple. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
