Microstrip Comb Line Filters

1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975
The known design procedures for comb line filters are applicable only to filters using TEM-mode transmission line systems. Synthesis procedures for comb line filters using coupled microstrip transmission lines must take into account the unequality of the phase velocities of the fundamental modes on such a system. Such a method is presented.

A Microstrip Line Stretcher

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1970
A simple and inexpensive microstrip transmission line of adjustable length is described. The device, although physically considerably smaller, is electrically similar to the usual coaxial line stretcher and can be fabricated easily from standard printed circuit or microstrip boards.

Characteristics of microstrip transmission lines

Journal of Electronics (China), 1990
An efficient hybrid field solution to microstrip transmission lines is presented by using SLE and SLM modes in spectral domain. It by-passes the lengthy process of formulating the determinant equation for the unknown propagation constant. Compared with spectral domain admittance approach, this method is clear in both physical and mathematical senses ...

Cylindrical Substrate Microstrip Line Characterization

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1987
In this article, quasi-static and dynamic solutions are derived for microstrip transmission lines on circularly symmetric cylindrical substrates. Novel numerical techniques have evolved which lead to very efficient algorithms. The model is applicable to substrates of arbitrary thickness and cylinder size.

Tunable fin‐line—microstrip oscillator

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1994
AbstractThe frequency of a microstrip oscillator is difficult to tune. A new millimeter‐wave microstrip Gunn oscillator is introduced in this Letter. Consisting of fin line and microstrip with microstrip as the output‐port transmission line, this Gunn oscillator can be mechanically frequency tuned.

Crosstalk between microstrip transmission lines

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1994
Methods for prediction of crosstalk between microstrip transmission lines are reviewed and simplified for the weak-coupling case. Classical coupled transmission line theory is used for uniform lines, and potential and induced EMF methods are used for crosstalk between nonuniform lines.

Novel microstrip-line directional filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1997
This paper presents two new structures of four-port microwave directional filters incorporating microstrip-line resonators, uniplanar 180/spl deg/ phase-reversal units, and two or four identical p-i-n diodes. These filters provide substantially improved frequency characteristics compared to the conventional constructions.

Inset microstrip-line fed dual frequency microstrip patch antenna

Twelfth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP 2003), 2003
In this paper, a novel single-feed dual-frequency microstrip patch antenna is presented and discussed. With proper selection of slot loading and inset feed, dual frequency operation of a patch antenna, with a frequency ratio between 1.03~1.2 can be achieved, whilst maintaining an input impedance of 50 Ω at both frequencies.

Design of packaged microstrip line

2016 IEEE International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2016
In this paper, a new-version microstrip line is proposed, named packaged microstrip line. It is comprised of three dielectric substrates. This novel microstrip line is no longer suffering from the issues of radiation losses, surface waves, or cavity resonances that exist in the standard microstrip line without or with a metallic shielding box.

Kinetic inductance microstrip delay lines

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987
Microstrip delay lines employing the phenomenon of Kinetic inductance have several potential advantages for analog signal processing. These properties will be discussed and contrasted with other delay line technologies. Several kinetic inductance microstrip delay lines have been fabricated using niobium, niobium nitride and various dielectrics.
