Microstrip Patch Antenna

2020
This chapter elaborates in detail on the microstrip patch antenna, which is widely utilized in the receivers of radio telescopes, as well as in the wireless communication industry today. Several models have been developed to analyze and design the patch antennas.

Monolithic conformai microstrip patch antenna

2016 International Conference On Communication Problem-Solving (ICCP), 2016
The accurate analysis of the antenna performance is very difficult with the complex structure of the conformai antenna, and the conformai finite difference time domain(FDTD) method is one of the effective methods. A millimeter wave monolithic microstrip antenna, formed on the surface of conical surface using the conformal FDTD algorithm, is introduced,

Frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna

2012 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2012
A frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna is proposed. Three switches are used to produce six reconfigurable frequencies. Those switches are positioned in the slot places underneath the patch. A reflector is placed behind the antenna. It was found that, at all frequencies, directional radiation patterns are obtained.

Microstrip Patch Antennas

2014
With the rapid development of printed circuit technology, printed antennas have found numerous applications in high-performance systems where size, weight, and cost are of significant importance. The most notable feature of these printed antennas is that they are low profile.

Polarization reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2013
AbstractThe performances of a quasilumped coupler with a pair of capacitors are first described. By varying the capacitance value of the capacitors, the coupler can operate at three different modes, including uncoupled‐line mode, quadrature hybrid mode, and T‐junction power divider mode. Based on the coupler design, a microstrip antenna with switchable

Y-shaped Microstrip Patch Antenna

2016 International Conference on Micro-Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ICMETE), 2016
This paper presents a design of Y-shaped patch microstrip antenna, which has been achieved by inserting Y-shaped strip in circular hole in square patch microstrip antenna and it has been excited by using microstrip line feed technique. Y-shaped microstrip patch antenna is designed on a FR4 substrate of thickness 1.524mm with relative permittivity of 4 ...

Square Spiral Microstrip Patch Antenna

2019 International Conference on Electrical, Communication, and Computer Engineering (ICECCE), 2019
Our project describes the analysis and design of square spiral microstrip patch antenna for multi band frequencies. As compared with old conventional antennae, microstrip patch antennae have more advantages and better prospects. Such antennae are light-weighted, circularly polarized and can be easily fabricated.

Compact GPS Microstrip Patch Antenna

MILCOM 2007 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2007
In this paper, the effect of shorting wall length on the circular polarization of shorted microstrip patch antenna is examined. The theoretical analysis is based on the High Frequency Software Simulator (HFSS®). A designed antenna for the GPS application at the civilian GPS frequency (1.575 GHz) has been fabricated and measured.

Perforated substrate microstrip patch antenna

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011
A design of microstrip patch antenna over perforated substrate is presented to proof the concept of performance enhancement using micromachining techniques. The presented perforated antennas are designed using standard equations as well as the derived equations for synthesized permittivity calculation.

Center-fed microstrip patch antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2003
A novel feeding scheme for microstrip patch antennas is presented, which consists of a coaxial probe and shorting pin separated by a narrow slot centrally cut at the radiating patch. The impedance and radiation characteristics of a conventional probe-fed microstrip patch antenna and the proposed microstrip patch antenna are experimentally examined and ...
