On the resonant frequencies of microstrip antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1989An appropriately corrected formula for the resonant frequencies of microstrip antenna elements is obtained that is based on the evaluation of the average value of the effective dielectric constant. The author describes the integration averaging technique and presents two examples of its use in more accurately calculating the resonant frequencies of the

Microstrip Diplexer Using Stepped Impedance Resonators
Wireless Personal Communications, 2015In this paper, a compact diplexer based on coupled stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) is designed for Digital Communication System and the industrial, scientific and medical applications. The diplexer is composed from two band-pass filters operated at 1.8 and 2.45 GHz respectively. The size and the position of the SIR and the feed lines are determined

METHOD OF CALCULATING RESONANCE FREQUENCIES OF MICROSTRIP LINES
Far East Journal of Mathematical Sciences (FJMS), 2017© 2017 Pushpa Publishing House, Allahabad, India. The problem of determination of eigenfrequencies of microstrip lines under the assumption that the lines represent energetically close-loop lines is considered. The problem is stated as the spectral problem for the Helmholtz equation with homogeneous boundary conditions, which, in turn, is then reduced ...

Rectangular and Circular Microstrip Disk Capacitors and Resonators
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1973A simple method is described to calculate the capacitances of rectangular and circular microstrip disk capacitors. From the edge capacitances of the capacitors the influence of the fringing field on the resonance frequencies of microstrip disk resonators is calculated.

In this paper, a wideband vertical microstrip-to-microstrip transition designed with cross-coupled microstrip and slotline resonators is proposed. By utilizing two identical microstrip lines on top and bottom layers perpendicularly coupled with a uniform slotline resonator on the ground plane, a wideband filtering performance with three transmission ...

The Elliptic Microstrip Ring Resonator
7th European Microwave Conference, 1977, 1977The characteristic equation for the resonant modes in a confocal elliptic microstrip ring resonator is derived. Numerical results for the dominant mode are given as a function of the dimensions of the confocal elliptical boundaries.

On the resonant frequency of magnetized rectangular microstrip patch resonators
Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2002A spectra domain analysis of rectangular microstrip patch resonators on magnetized ferrite substrates is developed, by using a combination of the Hertz vector potentials and Galerkin's method. In this procedure, the electric and magnetic fields are defined in terms of the Hertz vector potential functions, which are assumed to be oriented along the ...

Resonant frequencies of shielded rectangular and circular microstrip resonators
International Journal of Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Computer-Aided Engineering, 1995AbstractResonant frequencies of shielded rectangular and circular microstrip patches have been determined using the modified Wolff model (MWM). The model determines effect of top‐shield, side‐walls, and end‐walls on the resonant frequency. Results of the MWM have been compared to those of SDA and FEM.

Resonance in two coupled circular microstrip disk resonators
Journal of Applied Physics, 1982A rigorous formulation to the problem of two coupled circular microstrip disk resonators is presented. Using the vector Hankel Transform, the problem is formulated in terms of a set of vector integral equations. The resonance in the two coupled resonators is then analyzed using two approaches: Galerkin’s method and a perturbative approach.

Neurospectral computation for complex resonant frequency of microstrip resonators
IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1999Spectral domain formulation is followed by the neural network technique to determine the resonant frequency of open microstrip resonators. This neurospectral approach considerably reduces the problem complexity. The results of the neurospectral technique compare well with those of traditional spectral domain technique.
