Computational elements based on coupled VO2 oscillators via tunable thermal triggering
Computational technologies based on coupled oscillators are of great interest for energy efficient computing. A key to developing such technologies is the tunable control of the interaction among oscillators which today is accomplished by additional ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Nano-CT characterization of dentinal tubule occlusion in SDF-treated dentin
Dentin hypersensitivity is an oral health concern affecting a large percentage of the world's adult population. Occlusion of the exposed dentinal tubules is among the treatment options available, and silver diammine fluoride (SDF) is an occluding agent ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Current-induced domain wall motion in a van der Waals ferromagnet Fe3GeTe2
The manipulation of spin textures by spin currents is of fundamental and technological interest. A particularly interesting system is the 2D van der Waals ferromagnet Fe3GeTe2, in which Néel-type skyrmions have recently been observed. The origin of these

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Direct Observation of the Deformation Mechanism of Twin-Structured Ni NWs under Bending Strain
In situ atomic-scale bending tests of twin-structured Ni nanowires were realised using a homemade deformation device. The results showed that the plastic deformation mechanism in twin-structured Ni nanowires depended on the deformation stage.
