Quantum refrigeration powered by noise in a superconducting circuit [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications
While dephasing noise often hinders quantum devices, it can become an asset for quantum thermal machines. Here we demonstrate a three-level thermal machine that leverages noise-assisted quantum transport to enable steady-state cooling of microwave modes.

Kinematic calculation of micro mirror elements in micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) [PDF]

open access: yesОмский научный вестник, 2021
Currently, the development and application of micro machines is an important direction in the development of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technologies. In these devices, electromechanical energy conversion occurs, as a result of which forces

Quantum efficiency, purity and stability of a tunable, narrowband microwave single-photon source

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2021
We demonstrate an on-demand source of microwave single photons with 71–99% intrinsic quantum efficiency. The source is narrowband (300 kHz) and tuneable over a 600 MHz range around 5.2 GHz.

Resolving Fock states near the Kerr-free point of a superconducting resonator

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2023
We have designed a tunable nonlinear resonator terminated by a SNAIL (Superconducting Nonlinear Asymmetric Inductive eLement). Such a device possesses a Kerr-free point in which the external magnetic flux allows to suppress the Kerr interaction.

Extensive characterization and implementation of a family of three-qubit gates at the coherence limit

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2023
While all quantum algorithms can be expressed in terms of single-qubit and two-qubit gates, more expressive gate sets can help reduce the algorithmic depth. This is important in the presence of gate errors, especially those due to decoherence.

Characterizing decoherence rates of a superconducting qubit by direct microwave scattering

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information, 2021
We experimentally investigate a superconducting qubit coupled to the end of an open transmission line, in a regime where the qubit decay rates to the transmission line and to its own environment are comparable.

Calculation strength of torsion bar suspension of micromirrors (MEOMS) [PDF]

open access: yesОмский научный вестник, 2021
The paper considers the strength calculation of the torsion bar suspension of a micromirror with a reflective layer of high optical quality of the surface for deflecting the reflected laser beam.

Approaches for Mitigating Microbial Biofilm-Related Drug Resistance: A Focus on Micro- and Nanotechnologies

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Biofilms play an essential role in chronic and healthcare-associated infections and are more resistant to antimicrobials compared to their planktonic counterparts due to their (1) physiological state, (2) cell density, (3) quorum sensing abilities, (4 ...
